Rain, Rain....Sweet Memories of Rain

Doesn't this little
village
with
RAIN
look
like a
sweet
dream?

I will be dreaming sweet dreams tonight... of someday being blessed with rain.
We had rain today for 2 minutes...that's it...2 minutes.
*sigh*  ...We have not had rain for 2 months!  :(

May your night be blessed with sweet dreams....good-night!

Hugs, Carolyn

It's been a long time since we've had any significant rainfall either. I sure do miss the smell and the sound of it...I loved your last post, what a beautiful song and so true. Have a beautiful week, sweet friend. Patty

Weelll... I love in Oregon :) so I think my view on the rain may be a bit, er, different.

We've started, already and too soon for me, into our fall rains. We are in the midst of having our house painted and the painters had to stop after the power washing due to rain. Tomorrow is another day and hopefully sunny so that the work can be done. *Sigh*

I do sympathize. When we lived in Texas any rain was such a gift.

Carolyn, we need rain so bad here in Charlotte too! The lawns are all burned up and they might start limited water usage here. I hope you get some rain too!

Hi Carolyn,

I love this picture. The scenery is so idyllic, it does have that dream-like quality to it. There is always a freshness ushered in by rain. I believe there is a life-giving component within water because the bible says in creation, "the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."

Over the past two days, it seems that I have a cold which appears to like my company (even though I am an unwelcome host). I read Psalm 28:7 this morning which serves to remind me that the Lord is my strength and shield, I will trust in Him and receive help.

May our Lord shower you with His blessings and peace.

I know what you mean!! We really need rain here in SC however I enjoy that lack of it because it lowers the mosquito population. But our trees and plantings need it!

Beautiful pic! Is it a Kincaid?

Hi Carolyn,
Lovely image, is that Thomas Kinkade? We have had a wee bit of rain this morning, and yesterday morning. It was overcast this morning, but now it's very sunny! I find myself looking forward to some rainy days also.

Have a lovely day! :)
