Pink Tulips and White Milk Glass Hobnob!

My grandpa gave me this beautiful milk glass basket to me on my wedding day!
...But I didn't like milk glass as a young bride! :( Yeah, I know!
I had it stored up in the attic all of these years. Since I just recently joined blogland and I am seeing it everywhere...I am thinking oh my goodness, that is so pretty!
And then I remembered.... my grandpa gave me a piece as a wedding gift
...and it is somewhere in the attic!
I FOUND it! :D
....and I.LOVE.it!!
Thank you, Grandpa...I.LOVE.YOU!
~
I might have gotten carried away with the picture taking, but it looks so pretty with the tulips and spirea!
~

Today I am joining Beverly at How Sweet the Sound
for Pink Saturday!
I actually didn't get signed up in time...but head on over there because lots of beautiful pink treats on this beautiful May Day!
~
Hugs, Carolyn

Hi Carolyn! Oh, it's gorgeous and I love to see all the pictures! Guess what? I have a basket just like yours! My mother gave it to me many years ago. I made a flower arrangement for it and it's stayed that way ever since.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)

Carolyn! Hello!!!!

Girl, first of all...your blog is gorgeous, you have a total entourage of friends, and now you have met ME so therefore...you are NO LONGER NEWBIE STATUS! tee hee!!!

Seriously Carolyn, I loved the comment you left me and I love your heart. You are SO right about the way you feel...you are SUPPOSED to be blogging for yourself. This is your happy place, a place where you can be you. Those that love you for that will find you and become a real friend. It's not about the number of followers nor the number of comments, ever never! It's about the journey, the journal, and what's in your heart.

Rome wasn't built in a day and there is nothing more enjoyable than a road trip without watching the clock...don't you think?

We are ALL simple people, (trust me, especially me)!!! Don't ever feel odd or intimidated...ever never!

And it's so nice when someone (like you) stops in to say hello because they love what you wrote or they love the photo that you posted...it's automatic Sunshine! Therefore...you HAVE interested someone...no matter how "simple" you think you are. It's all about being REAL and real people just love real people :)

Have fun here Carolyn, you are spreading your Cottage Sunshine over blogland every day girl...whew...let me go grab my shades!!!!
;)

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

The milk glass is so elegant looking and I love how you placed your pink depression glass inside the basket!
What a grand idea!
The pink against the white really shows up so nicely!

Great photos-not enough of them!!

Isn't it funny how our tastes change...we received a beat up old pewter jug as a wedding gift years ago and I though..."How weird"...it is now one of my very favourite things and I use it all of the time.

Have a beautiful weekend,
Natasha.

It is gorgeous! Aren't you glad you have it! I was the same way. My grandmother gave me all her mom's blue willow, and bought me a place setting at a time when I got married, and I was not all that crazy for it, but now I am absolutely in love with it. It means so much more to me because she gave it to me also.
